Notes From the Trail is dedicated to moving forward an evolutionary up-wising to heal the body politic and replace the current fear-based “homeland insecurity” with the love-based “heartland security.”
As more and more of us are coming to realize, in this shrinking world that could use a good shrink what we call “politics” is really a deeper conversation about spirituality, psychology and what it means to be human in the 21st century.
The heart of the matter is the matter of the heart. The most underused tool in the toolkit seems to be our intrinsic ability to access the power of love, harmony and coherence. By gathering in the “land of the heart,” we build the awareness and connection to take us to the next evolutionary level.
While this may seem at first a pie-in-the-sky ideal, it is our mission to make it a feet-on-the-ground real deal.
Notes From the Trail is the blog site of spiritual humorist and political uncommontator Steve Bhaerman. For the past quarter century, he has written and performed “cosmic comedy” in the guise of Swami Beyondananda. However, Steve’s training is in political science, and he recently completely a highly acclaimed book with cellular biologist Bruce Lipton. The book, Spontaneous Evolution: Our Positive Future and a Way to Get There From Here, has been called “world-changing” by both Deepak Chopra and Thom Hartmann.
In addition to providing news and views on current events, Notes From the Trail is building a community of Allies and Co-Hearts who recognize that “under-truthing” every religious, spiritual and ethical system is some version of the Golden Rule, and the One Suggestion: “We are all in it together.”
By gathering around the virtues and values that express the best of human aspirations, we can overgrow the current dysfunction, isolate the “sociopathogens,” and create true heartland security.
